Is what I'm feeling serious enough for therapy?
If you're asking, it matters enough. Therapy is not reserved for emergencies — waiting for a crisis is like waiting for the roof to fall in before fixing it.
How long does therapy take?
Honestly: it depends, and anyone who promises otherwise is selling something. Some questions resolve in months; deeper patterns take longer. We review regularly, and you can stop at any time.
Will you tell anyone what I say?
No. Confidentiality is a legal obligation (§ 203 StGB), not a courtesy. The narrow legal exceptions — acute danger to life — I will explain in our first conversation.
What if I don't know what to talk about?
Then you are in good company. "I don't know where to start" is a start, and often a better one than a prepared speech. The session makes room for what wants to be said.
Do I have to talk about my childhood?
You don't have to do anything. History tends to come up because the present keeps quoting it — but we go there when it becomes relevant, not because a method demands it.
What happens in the first conversation?
Twenty minutes, free of charge, by phone or video. You describe what brings you, ask what you want to ask, and we both notice whether the conversation breathes. No obligation follows.
A question that isn't answered here is a good reason to write.
